Simon Emmerson travaille avant tout avec l'électronique en direct, également des commandes purement électroacoustiques de l'IMEB (Bourges) et le GRM (Paris). Ses travaux ont été publiés sur Continuum, Chant du Monde, Emanem et Isidorart et il a contribué et édité The Language of Electroacoustic Music (Macmillan, 1986) et Music, Electronic Media and Culture (Ashgate, 2000). Son livre Living Electronic Music sera publié par Ashgate en 2007 et il a deux nouveau CD en solo avec Sargasso. Il est professeur de Musique, Technologie et Innovation à l'Université, de Montfort à Leicester.

Simon Emmerson (born Wolverhampton (UK), 1950) works mostly with live electronics, also purely electroacoustic commissions from the IMEB (Bourges) and the GRM (Paris). His works have been issued on Continuum, Le Chant du Monde, Emanem and Isidorart and he has contributed to and edited The Language of Electroacoustic Music (Macmillan, 1986) and Music, Electronic Media and Culture (Ashgate, 2000). He is Professor of Music, Technology and Innovation at De Montfort University, Leicester.
