Javier LEICHMAN (Argentine)

Studied music at the National Conservatory "Carlos Lopez Buchardo", Musical Morphology with Francisco Kröpfl and Composition with Oscar Edelstein. In 1989 he received a scholarship to study electroacoustic music and composition at the C.l.M, (Centro de Investigacion Musical) at the University of Buenos Aires. In 1990 he obtains a scholarship of Antorchas Fundation to study Contemporary Composition. In 1994 he was a visiting composer at the Center for Research in Computing and the Arts (UC, San Diego) as part of an Exchange Program supported by the Rockefeller Foundation. In 1996 is invited by the International Institute of Electroacoustic Music/Bourges-France to compose a piece. He is currently working as assistant in system management and associate composer-researcher at L.l.P.M. (Laboratorio de Investigacion y Produccion Musical.
